About Filos

Filos is a Greek word. It means friend.

We started with a simple observation: most pet products are designed to appeal to the person buying them, not the animal using them. Bright colours, cartoon branding, materials that look good in photos but wear out quickly. We wanted to do something different.

What we look for

Every product in the Filos range starts with a question, not a formula. We ask what a specific animal, at a specific life stage, genuinely needs. Then we work with veterinary nutritionists and animal behaviourists to build a product around that answer.

We do not use unnecessary fillers, artificial flavours, or ingredients that serve the formula rather than the animal. If it does not have a reason to be there, it is not there.

The name Filos comes from the Greek word for friend. That is the relationship we are trying to support: a considered, quiet companionship between people and the animals they live with.
