In ancient Greek, φίλος — pronounced fee-loss — means friend. Beloved. Dear one. It is the root of philosophy (love of wisdom) and philanthropy (love of people). It is a word that has carried warmth across thousands of years.

We chose it because it is exactly what our pets are to us. Not accessories. Not possessions. Friends. The ones who meet us at the door after a hard day, who curl beside us without needing a reason, who love us completely and ask for nothing in return except our care.

Where We Come From

Filos was founded in Queensland, Australia by people who are first and foremost pet owners. We weren't looking to build a store — we were looking for products that actually worked for our own animals, and kept coming up short.

The market is flooded with products that make big promises. We found very few that delivered quietly, consistently, without gimmick. So we went searching ourselves — testing, researching, and eventually curating a range we could stand behind with full confidence. Filos is the result of that search.

What We Believe

We believe an animal's wellbeing is not a luxury — it is a responsibility that comes with the privilege of their company. And we believe the people who take that responsibility seriously deserve a brand that does the same.

Every product in our range has been chosen with a single question in mind: would we use this for our own pet? If the answer isn't an immediate yes, it doesn't make the cut.
